
This is a great tropical healthy smoothie that fills you up and can even be a meal replacement beverage. I love it. For thicker smoothie, add less milk.

8 almonds
2 tablespoons flax seeds
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup sliced frozen banana
1 cup coconut milk beverage (such as Silk)
2 fresh pineapple spears
2 tablespoons protein powder
1 teaspoon agave nectar
How to Make Twisted Colada Protein Smoothie
Blend coconut, almonds, flax seeds, and chia seeds together in a blender or food processor until slightly smooth. Add banana, coconut milk beverage, pineapple, protein powder, and agave nectar; blend until smooth.

Theres no need for a sweetener in this recipe, a ripe (frozen) banana and pineapple are sweet enough on their own, also not required if you use coconut milk that has been sweetened as well. Plain or vanilla Greek yogurt can also replace the protein powder, and (raw shelled) hemp seeds can replace the flax seeds.
This was not good. Dont know why, as I like al the ingredients. Maybe the plant-based protein powder or frozen pineapple vs. fresh. There was this funky background taste I couldnt cover up. Tried adding more things to fix it, but no-go.
This tastes like a cocktail. I used 2 dates instead of agave and protein powder. Thank you for the recipe.
